Maya’s journey began here, with just ten handloom Kanchi cotton sarees offered as a trunk sale, 13 years ago. Parutti in Tamil means cotton. The category of finest curated Kanchi Cotton has the same name.

Bring up images of actress Sri Devi in the Bollywood movie-English-Vinglish…draping gorgeous Kanchi cottons throughout the movie. (Here’s a secret. Some of those handloom beauties came from our favorite weaver!). One particular beauty was a bottle green with rich thread work with a beautiful paisley corner motif.
